Content Strategist

The Content Strategist’s key areas of responsibility are in creating editorial and content calendars for the agency and clients, managing content writers, and supervising the day-to-day completion and optimization of blogs, website content, and HubSpot tasks. The Content Strategist will develop holistic campaigns that increase organic traffic, improve search engine rankings, and bring in qualified lead conversions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage editorial calendars that attract a qualified audience to client websites (including blog posts, social media, whitepapers, ebooks, emails, research, infographics, etc.)
  • Architect the flow of content around each campaign, and primarily use HubSpot to execute
  • Stay up-to-date with client industry trends, content performance metrics, and customer challenges in order to build more effective editorial calendars
  • Assist Account Services team in developing strategic creative briefs for content produced either by freelancers or in-house Creative Services team
  • Independently manage freelance writers, writing services, and your own schedule to ensure content is written, proofed, and ready for client approval according to dates set out in the editorial calendar/project plan
  • Serve as an exemplary writer and editor, writing concise, well-polished copy and making sure that all copy produced by your team meets these same standards
  • Provide insight for new business estimates and proposals and contribute in client presentations as needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in content marketing and/or inbound marketing; previous agency experience a plus
  • Certified in HubSpot inbound marketing procedures and software
  • Experience using and certification in Google Analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
